Senior Lifeguard
A leadership-level qualification for experienced lifeguards. Held at the BRC base in Sozopol over five days, combining review of prior material, organisational methods, and practical and theoretical exercises.
Not organised in Varna — enrolment through the water-rescue specialists at the BRC Regional Council, Varna.
1Candidate requirements
- Completed BOTH the Pool & Water-Park AND the Open-Water & Sea Lifeguard courses.
- At least 10 months of experience in the last 5 years as a Sea Lifeguard, or 20 months as a Pool Lifeguard.
- Medical certificate confirming fitness for swimming and diving.
- Recommendation from an employer.
- Recommendation from the local BRC Regional Council.
- Completed secondary education.
- Individual accident insurance for the duration of the course.
Duration & programme
Final exam
- Written test — 30 questions.
- Solving situational, organisational and tactical tasks.
